As part of a project of creating a north south heavy train axis as an alternative to the coastal track, we are promoting the statutory planning of the Zvulun track and Western Galilee track.
The Zvulun railway extends from the new Jezre'el Valley railway line near the Yagur Interchange and reaches Route 85 Akko (Acre)-Karmiel.
The Western Galilee track begins at Route 85 to the Lebanon border, including passage into Lebanon.
Various alternatives to the aforementioned route are currently examined.
These tracks are have significant importance in creating an alternative route to the coastal track and developing train traffic between northern and southern Israel.
Early and statutory planning.
